On short notice, Wolfgang Kaufmann had the opportunity to take part in the 6 hour Epilog at Brno in the Czech Republic, driving Team Rock Media's V12 powered Pagani Zonda together with local driver Antonin Herbeck.

With the team supplying a perfectly prepared car, the test sessions as well as free practice and qualifying were free of any trouble, so that they were able to start Pagani Zonda from pole position. The racer from Molsberg defended this position against a strong field of mainly GT3 competition, and held a clear lead when he headed for his planned stop at the Rock Media pits.

"The car ran perfectly with the exception of a small oil leak which forced us into a longer pit stop. To get to the leak, the car's under floor had to be removed which cost additional time."

Antonin Herbeck then took over at the controls of the Pagani Zonda and completed a trouble free stint. "Antonin did a perfect job", Kaufmann says about his team mate. On lap 65, the green no. 39 Pagani had to be retired with a technical defect.

Nevertheless, Kaufmann sums it up as a positive weekend: "I was very happy about the warm welcome back into the Czech championship, and would be glad to do some more racing with Antonin Herbeck and the motivated Team Rock Media next year."
